  6. Back in the day, combat engineers were 12 series, and were still a part of the Combat Arms tree. That was back before they allowed women into Sapper school though.

  7. Hey a TRUE Combat Engineer is a 12B not some Lame Ass 21XYZ OER bullet hunters idea. If you all notice that Enlisted MOS numbers are starting to resemble Officer MOS numbers. Because Officers were having a problem remembering Enlisted MOS numbers. BTW there are more Combat Engineer than EOD that why 12B help to blow up shit.

  8. OK lets get this straight.
1)Sappers (combat engineers) are being brought back to 12 Bravo.
    2) EOD would be completely useless w/out Sappers. ( never leave w/out escourt, only leave to destroy UXO/IED/munitions already found and never to look for them {unless attached to Route clearance})

  9. EOD would be useless without sappers, are you kidding me? You clearly have no idea the spectrum of operations that EOD is involved in.

  10. I can see me keeping a copy of this for the rest of my life. Thanks to some dumbass EOD NCO who failed to warn and clear the area, I was severely injured while being 150 meters away: TBI, brain surgery, 8 months hospitalization, career ended after 21 years, never got promoted to E8 since I was injured, permanent partial left side paralysis etc. So this one is bittersweet for me. Funny, yet horribly so. The NCO himself was badly injured, his C.O. fired, his 1SG fired, etc. Lack of proper SOP's the investigation called it. Boom, life changed forever. Of course, there are dumbasses the Army over, so don't go thinking I'm calling all EOD dumbasses.
