Hahaha! As a 92G - I have seen this - too many times! Sometimes, it isn't 'our fault'! Logistically, if the deliveries are screwed up and there is a shortage of subsistence, we still have to feed every soldier. To accomplish this, we have to ration the portions. It sucks! As a senior member of my team, if I know that the rations are short, I won't eat until everyone has gone through. But, when cooks purposely ration the portions to be pricks - that's just f**ked up!
Been there, done that. Hence the invention of Poguey Bait--survival!
I've seen too many times people being served that little amount of food, and after everybody's been served, the cooks come out with their plates piled high.
There's always a surplus of uneaten garden salad. On a cold day who the hell decided we would want cold salad.
