  5. seriously, that shit is hillarious to see in real life. i actually saw a SFC sit a cadidiot down and explain that as a cadet, he doesn't have a rank and isn't ACTUALLY in the army. "to put it in terms you'll understand son, you're like a pledge to a frat, we let you hang out and wear the clothes, but everyone knows you aren't the real thing."

  7. Ha ha ha, even as a cadet I find this funny. Well, I'm prior service too, but damn funny. And true!

  8. I actually had this happen to me on the gate on day. I was a SPC and a cadet from westpoint showed me his ID. I waved hom through but he just sat there. I asked if he needed any assistance and he said "Oh, I'm just waiting for my salute". I laughed in his face and told him to get off my post!

  10. I actually had a company commander TELL me to have my guys call some cadets "Sir" and "Ma'am." He also said it would be nice if we would salute them to "get them ready for Army life." I said, "Sir, half of those assbags won't make it into uniform and the other half have yet to serve a single day in the life of a real Soldier. So no Sir, I can't do that." What did my CPT say? "Just thought I'd ask." WTF?

  11. The "Dimes" as the old timers called them. They refused to salute some non commissioned ROTC college kid with a chrome disk button on their hat.
